Under the Sea Postage Collage Cards

Make a splash in this creative, hands-on workshop! Join Darlene as she dives into the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Under the Sea collection to create three distinct underwater masterpieces. From vibrant coral reefs and sandy seafloors to graceful turtles and mysterious shipwrecks, you’ll explore the depths of the ocean through papercraft.

Throughout the session, Darlene will guide you through amazing techniques designed to make your mini-scenes pop. You will master the art of soft ink blending to achieve an "ocean glow" and learn how to manipulate the Wavy Line Stencil to build realistic depth, currents, and texture. We will even take our creativity to the next level by transforming the postage grid into a happy-themed fish tank shaker card!

Key Techniques Covered:

• Luminous Blending: Learn to create soft, glowing underwater backgrounds.
• Wavy Line Manipulation: Use the stencil to create shifting seafloor layers and water movement.
• Interactive Design: Construct a themed shaker card using the Postage Collage format.

Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned crafter, you will enjoy pushing the versatility of the Postage Collage system. Using a cool palette of deep sea blues, teals, and aquatic greens, you'll leave with three charming underwater worlds ready to send a "splash" of joy to friends and family.

Note: If you prefer a different theme, feel free to bring your favourite Postage Collage layered stencil and coordinating stamps to play along!

• Postage Collage Coral Reef Silhouette Stamp Set (New Release)
• Postage Collage Coral Reef Die Set (New Release)
• Postage Collage Fish Die
• A2 Postage Collage Die
• A2 Postage Collage Block Die 

Note: Any size of Postage Collage will also work (A7, Slimline)
If you would like to join in but prefer a different theme, choose your favorite Silhouette Stamp, Color Block/Wavy Line Stencil, and some sentiments to play along! 

Student Supplies

Essential Tools:

• Paper trimmer, scoreboard, and scoring tool
• Scissors
• Craft mat, Grip Mat, or sticky mat
• Stamping platform (e.g., Misti)
• Best Ever Craft Tape (or other low-tack tape)

• Ink blending tools (brushes or foams)
• Versafine Ink Pad – Black
• Darlene will be using Distress Inks

• Favorite adhesives: Includes tape runner and liquid glue
• 3D Foam Strips (essential for the shaker card)
• Acetate
• Shaker Bits: Darlene will be using Trinity Stamps – Bathwater shaker pops

Paper:

• Cardstock (White for blending and colours of your choice for mattes and card bases) Darlene’s list of colours will be posted soon.

Class will be held in a private Facebook group.  A Facebook account is required.  Homework posts, questions-and-answers and student sharing will all take place in this group. Class video will be recorded and available in this group when class is complete.
